A Conversation About the Science of Reading

The Science of Reading evokes and invites many comments and perspectives on topics of what comprises the body of evidence on reading development, effective reading instruction, measurement of reading skills, the role of background factors, and what kinds of interventions work with what kinds of students. Underlying these major topics are questions that can include, “What should be taught?”, “What do we know and not know in the science of reading?”, “What reading assessments should I use”, and “Why do scientists often do a poor job translating their findings for parents and practitioners?”. In this Live Chat, participants will be able to ask our panelists these questions and more.
