ASHA Awards
The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association has presented numerous awards over the last 70 years to recognize the contributions of individuals and groups to the professions of speech-language pathology, audiology, and speech and hearing science.
Each year, the Committee on Honors seeks nominations for the following ASHA Awards:
Award Descriptions, Required Components, and Past Recipients
- Honors of the Association
- Fellowship of the Association
- Dorothy Dreyer Award for Volunteerism
- Distinguished Contributions Award for Non-ASHA Members
- Certificate of Recognition for Outstanding Contributions in Clinical Achievement
- Certificate of Recognition for Outstanding Contributions in International Achievement
- Certificate of Recognition for Outstanding Contributions in Preschool-Grade 12 Education Settings
- Certificate of Recognition for Special Contributions in Higher Education
- Certificate of Recognition for Special Contributions in Multicultural Affairs
- Early Career Contributions in Research Award
- Outstanding Service Award
2024 Nominations Schedule and Submission Process
The Awards Nominations Center is now closed.
Committee on Honors will meet in June to review nominations and select this year's recipients.
Award recipients will be notified in mid to late July.
Recipients will be honored at the Award Ceremony during the 2024 Annual Convention.
How Do I Submit a Nomination?
The next application period for submitting a nomination for an ASHA Award opens in January 2025.
