Possess a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) issued by ASHA as evidence of professional training and experience.
Possess a current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) issued by ASHA as evidence of professional training and experience.
SLPA-B: possess at least a bachelor's degree in speech and language or communication disorders and shall work under the direct or indirect supervision of a licensed SLP.
SLPA-M: Possess at least a master’s degree in speech-language pathology or communication disorders and may work under the direct or indirect supervision of a licensed SLP.

Speech-language pathologists:
SLPA-B must submit proof of 15 continuing education directly related to the practice every two years.
SLPA-M must submit proof of 20 continuing education hours, which includes 15 must directly related to the practice, every two years.
Guam is not a member state of the Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology Interstate Compact. Information on the current status of the ASLP-IC can be found on the ASLP-IC website.
