New Jersey Early Intervention Requirements for Practice

Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology

Education

Master's degree

Certification/Licensure

State licensure is issued by the State of New Jersey Department of Law and Public Safety Division of Consumer Affairs, Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology.

Note: A temporary license while completing the clinical year under supervision is acceptable.

Training

Complete six online procedural safeguard modules.

Experience

Preferably at least one year documented professional experience with individuals from birth to five years who have developmental delays.

Continuing Education

Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) training within 6 months

Agency Oversight
