An Ohio state-licensed audiologist who has not completed an approved school licensure program may work under a Pupil Services Registration. A background check is also required.

License is renewable upon evidence of a currently valid license issued by the Ohio Board of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists. Twenty clock hours of continuing education per two-year period is required to maintain state license.
A temporary pupil services license may be issued to an individual who is deemed to be of good moral character and who evidences a currently valid audiologist license issued by the Ohio Board of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology, provided the vacancy has been posted for two weeks and no properly licensed and suitable candidate has been identified by the employing district.
