Master's degree
State licensure is issued by Pennsylvania State Board of Examiners in Speech-Language and Hearing.
Note: In order to provide early intervention (EI) to eligible preschool age children, the SLP must hold a Pennsylvania public school certification. For Educational Specialist I or II, they must earn 6 credits of collegiate study; or 6 credits of PDE-approved continuing professional education courses; or 180 hours of continuing professional education programs, activities or learning experiences; or any combination of the above every five years to maintain active certification status.
