Audiology Early Career Professionals Program

Program Description

ASHA developed this program to engage audiology early career professionals (ECPs) through virtual monthly presentations and in-person activities at the ASHA Convention. ASHA defines an audiology early career professional as an audiologist who has worked in the profession for 5 years or fewer.

The program will begin in January and run through November 2026. Participants will explore professional development topics each month and be part of an online community where they can connect with their cohort during the year and beyond. If accepted into this program, participants who choose to attend the ASHA Convention will receive a registration waiver for the 2026 ASHA Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana, November 19–21, 2026. The ASHA Convention is optional and not a requirement for the program.

Monthly presentations will include (but are not limited to) the following topics:

  • Federal and state advocacy
  • Coding and billing
  • Leadership
  • Patient-centered care
  • Professional networking
  • Interesting cases (breakout rooms)
  • Getting involved with community, state, and national organizations
