Travel

Rockville, MD, in the Washington, DC, suburbs, is accessible via many forms of transportation, including three airports: Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI, about 40 miles), Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA, about 25 miles), and Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD, about 30 miles).

Driving Directions

From the Washington Capital Beltway, take Interstate 270 North (Exit 35) toward Frederick. Then take Exit 6B to merge onto MD-28/West Montgomery Avenue toward Darnestown. Turn right onto Research Boulevard. Make a left into the ASHA National Office at 2200 Research Boulevard.

Public Transportation

The ASHA National Office is accessible by public transportation. The following information is subject to change by the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) and/or Ride On. Confirm your itinerary with the WMATA Trip Planner and Ride On Trip Planner before departure.

Take the Metro Red Line to Rockville Metro Station. From there, take Ride On Bus 54 towards Lakeforest (route available Monday–Sunday). There is a Ride On bus stop directly in front of the National Office on both sides of Research Boulevard.

Hotel Accommodations

ASHA has secured a hotel room block at:

Room rate $139 USD per night (exclusive of taxes and fees) for stays July 10–12, 2026. Rooms are available on a first come, first served basis through June 19.

Housing Cancellation Policy

In the event that you need to cancel, cancelling your event registration does not automatically cancel your hotel reservation, and cancelling your hotel reservation does not automatically cancel your event registration. If you need to cancel, be sure to follow the cancellation process for both registration and hotel reservations individually. 

Hotel cancellations must be made directly with the hotel no later than 72 hours prior to your arrival date. Cancellation within 3 days, or failure to check in on your scheduled day of arrival, will result in a 1-night's room and tax penalty charged by the hotel to the credit card used for guarantee.

ASHA strives to provide access—to the fullest extent possible—to activities based on an awareness of participants’ needs. If you require assistance due to a disability, indicate the area(s) in which you will need assistance on the registration details form, which ASHA staff will email to you after you register.

We ask that requests for reasonable accommodations at our live events be made as early as possible, and well in advance of the event, so we may best meet individual needs and requirements. We may be unable to fully respond to requests received after June 15, 2026. Food and Beverage

All food items will include labels, provided by the caterer, identifying common allergens and dietary considerations (e.g., gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan). If you have specific dietary needs, please indicate them on the registration details form, which ASHA staff will email to you after you register.
