ASHA Observances

ASHA is pleased to recognize those days, weeks, or months related to Multicultural Constituency Group (MCCG) observances, clinical topics, and communication disorder professional and discipline-related topics.

MCCG observances* honor professionals from groups historically underrepresented in communication sciences and disorders (CSD) and encourage culturally responsive practice. To be recognized, the observance must be aligned with an ASHA MCCG. Clinical topic observances bring attention to communication sciences disorders, their related conditions, or specific ways people communicate. CSD professional and discipline-related observances celebrate the CSD professions, their professionals, and related fields.
