Things to Know About the New Brand Block and Insignia

September 15, 2021

We’re 9 months away from when all Providers are expected to use the new Brand Block for all new course registrations. Just as a reminder, ASHA CE will require that the new Brand Block be used in promotional material for new course registrations starting on July 1, 2022.

The sooner you start using the new Brand Block, the better—you’ll be well-prepared to use it regularly by the deadline. If you need help getting started, take a look at the Brand Block Guide [PDF]. We’ve also provided lots of useful information in the past three issues of Intersections (December 2020, March 2021, and June 2021), and we’ll continue to include helpful articles in each issue leading up to the July 1, 2022, deadline.

In the June 2021 issue of Intersections, we recommended that you audit your website to try to find places where the old Brand Block or Provider Insignia are being used—by doing this, you’ll ensure that they are updated everywhere in advance of July 1, 2022. We realize that this may have raised some questions for you, so we’re further clarifying what needs to be updated in the audit here:

  • Do not update the Brand Block for courses that are currently registered with ASHA CE. The old Brand Block can remain on courses that have already been registered.
  • Do use the new Brand Block for new course registrations. ASHA CE encourages you to use the new Brand Block for all future course registrations.
  • Do use the new Brand Block for all course registrations submitted on or after July 1, 2022. The new Brand Block will be required for any courses submitted on or after that date.
  • Do update the Brand Block on any webpage advertising multiple courses using one Brand Block by the deadline. These webpages typically include newly registered courses along with courses that have already been registered.
  • Do update the Insignia on all affected webpages by July 1, 2022.

In other Brand Block and Insignia news, ASHA CE is working on a solution that would give Providers on-demand access to their customized Brand Blocks and the Insignia. We’ll keep you posted on our progress, and we’ll let you know when this option is available.

In the meantime, if you need any help or would like us to email your Brand Block in a particular format, contact your Provider Manager, and they can help. We look forward to seeing the new Brand Block in more and more of your course promotions!
