If you indicate that you’d like your course to be available on ASHA CEFind but aren’t providing a Registration URL before you submit the course, then you’re likely missing out on additional course attendees.
We’ve been actively promoting CEFind through advertisements, our CE Lounge and exhibit at the 2023 ASHA Convention (which just ended and had historically high attendance numbers), and ongoing marketing emails to ASHA professionals. We’ve found that when recipients click on a link to CEFind in our emails, they will view some courses but will abandon their search when they don’t see a Registration URL listed for a course. When providers don’t include a Registration URL, some recipients click on the Provider Website link, which takes them to the general website for the corresponding Provider, whereas other recipients will go back and search for an entirely different course. Either way, the opportunity for them to register for your course gets lost or diluted.
There are two takeaways from this information:
If you include the Registration URL when submitting courses, and if you regularly review your Provider Website to direct people to your continuing education information, you’ll make it easier for more professionals to find your courses—and, thus, increase your registration numbers.
