The New ASHA CE Provider Information Site

June 12, 2024

ASHA CE’s new Provider Information site has been up and running for a few weeks now. We hope you’ve had a chance to visit it!

When our team started redesigning the Provider Information site, we established several goals:

  • Communicate the new Standards and Policies to stakeholders – these are clearly identified at the top of the page, along with recent news.
  • Connect related Standards, Policies, and resources – the what and why (Standards) are linked to the how (Policies), and resources are hyperlinked both in the Policy text and in resource boxes on the right side of the Policy pages.
  • Elevate frequently used information and resources so they’re easy to find – we included columns for the CE Provider Portal, Orientation materials, and Forms so you can quickly find what you need.
  • Make the site easier to navigate – clearly labeled sections and headings make it easier for you to move around the site.
  • Eliminate duplicative information – we took care to avoid repeating the same information on multiple pages to ensure consistency and prevent unnecessary confusion.

If you haven’t already, you can dive right in and start exploring now!

We asked for volunteers to offer comments and do some user experience (UX) testing along the way—and we got some crucial feedback. We’d like to thank the following people for helping us develop a great final product: Chelsea Bailey – Ohio Speech-Language-Hearing Association; Jennifer Casteix – University of Arizona; Debra Cowley – Starkey Laboratories, Inc.; Jacqueline Chin – New York Therapy Placement Services; Phill Erkkila – The Stepping Stones Group; Denise Felsenstein – Lippincott Williams and Wilkins; Kimberly Gully – Medical Speech-Language Pathology Continuing Education Council; Caroline Jones – Summit Professional Education; Yoomi Kim – Video Continuing Education; Kristin King – Passy-Muir Incorporated; Chelsea Miller Reisman – Memorial Hermann Health System; Kathleen Miney – International Council on Development and Learning, Inc.; Karen Miranda – Maryland Speech-Language-Hearing Association; Pamela Nutt – MedBridge; Robert Portnoy – Corporate Speech Pathology Network; Jenna Sturges – Tactile Medical; Cory Tompkins – Career Improvement and Advancement Opportunities; Selena Reece – Carolina Speech Pathology, LLC; Caroline Van Howe and Becky Williams – Assistive Technology Industry Association.

We’re so grateful to each of you for your thoughtful contributions to this effort!

We look forward to hearing what you think. Once again, please contact your CE Team if you have any questions or thoughts to share. Thanks so much!
