Understand why changes in education and health care mean that many schools, clinics, and universities are incorporating IPE/IPP into the way they work.
Check out real-life examples from ASHA members and ASHA's Special Interest Groups that highlight how IPE/IPP teams improved outcomes for students and patients.
Identifying ways to embed components of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) into our practice is a challenging but critical objective. Many clinicians may feel they lack the time, skills, or competence to effectively address DEI; it might feel like one more thing on an already-long list of considerations and requirements. But if we focus on our passion for working with people and change our perspective about providing culturally responsive services, then it's not more work, it is the work. This course discusses the value of addressing DEI as part of audiology and speech-language pathology services and provides practical ideas for how to start to embed DEI into practice.
